they might not work (winmine) because u my not have the application installed on ur computer< most computer come preloaded with thos games and software, most windows xp and vist copys have those games,some windows 7 discs do not

Dude.... this can be done only in case Windows Vista or Windows 7.
Windows XP doesn't have this feature.

Before doing this procedure, just make sure that you've used the Disc Defragmenter to remove the fragmented area and compact the files, so that, when u repartition it, you get to shrink the maximum space for your new partition.

Firstly,
Goto Start-->Run
and type regedit & press Enter.
A regidtry editor window will pop up on the screen. Then follow the paths shown in above post to edit the registry.
For eg.
Display legal notice on startup:Regedit{Registry Editor tricks
Wanna tell your friends about the do's and dont's in your computer when they login in your absence. Well you can do it pretty easily by displaying a legal notice at system start up.
REGEDIT
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system]
"legalnoticecaption"="enter your notice caption"
"legalnoticetext"="enter your legal notice text"

Here...
migrate step by step to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-->SOFTWARE-->Microsoft-->Windows-->CurrentVersion-->policies-->system
then in the right hand side portion of the windows

"legalnoticetext"="enter your legal notice text"
